Ridhima carefully observed everything around her. The ruins stood silently, as if they were hiding stories from centuries ago. The walls were old and worn, yet the architecture was incredibly detailed. Beautiful carvings covered the stone pillars, each design more mysterious than the last.
She quickly took out her notebook and started writing down every small detail she noticed. The patterns on the walls, the broken pillars, and the strange symbols carved into the stone all fascinated her. It looked like the remains of a grand building from a forgotten era.
āSir⦠look at this,ā Ridhima said, pointing toward a large carved structure near the entrance. āThe design of this building is extraordinary. Iāve never seen architecture like this before.ā
Her professor walked closer and examined the carvings carefully. After a moment of silence, he nodded slowly.
āYes, Ridhima,ā the professor said thoughtfully. āWhat youāre seeing here is extremely rare. These structures belong to a very ancient architectural style. Historians believe this place may be connected to many other hidden structures in this region.ā
Ridhimaās eyes widened with excitement. She quickly continued writing in her notebook.
āSir, can we explore further?ā she asked eagerly. āIf there are more structures connected to this place, we might discover something important.ā
The professor sighed slightly and looked around the quiet ruins.
āI agree with you,ā he replied. āBut unfortunately, we are not allowed to research further here.ā
Ridhima looked confused. āWhy not, sir?ā
āThe government has restricted this area,ā he explained. āThey have already conducted some research here, but they havenāt revealed much information to the public. For some reason, they donāt want anyone to explore this place further.ā
Ridhima stayed silent, listening carefully.
Her mind filled with questions.
Why would the government hide such an important historical site?
What secrets were buried in these ruins that they didnāt want people to discover?
She looked once more at the ancient carvings on the stone walls. Something about this place felt strange⦠almost as if the ruins were holding a secret waiting to be uncovered.
And deep inside, Ridhima knew one thing.
This mystery was far from over.
That night, Ridhima could not sleep.
The image of the ancient ruins kept appearing in her mindāthe strange carvings, the broken pillars, and the professorās words about the government restrictions. Something about that place didnāt feel normal. It felt like the ruins were hiding a secret.
She sat on her bed, staring at her notebook where she had written all the details from the site.
"These structures belong to a very ancient architectural styleā¦"
Her professorās voice echoed in her head.
āBut why would the government stop further research?ā she whispered to herself.
Curiosity slowly replaced her fear.
Finally, she made a decision.
āI have to see it again,ā she murmured.
Late at night, when the campus was quiet, Ridhima quietly left her room. The moonlight softly illuminated the empty roads as she made her way toward the restricted ruins.
The place looked completely different at night.
The tall broken pillars cast long shadows on the ground, and the ancient walls looked even more mysterious under the pale moonlight. The wind moved gently through the ruins, creating a soft whispering sound.
Ridhima walked carefully, her flashlight lighting the carvings on the stone walls.
Suddenly, something caught her attention.
One of the carvings she had seen earlier looked different in the moonlight. The symbols on the wall were glowing faintly, almost like they were reacting to something.
Her heart started beating faster.
āThat's strangeā¦ā she whispered.
She stepped closer and touched the carving with her fingers.
The moment her hand touched the stoneā
A deep rumbling sound echoed through the ruins.
The ground beneath her feet trembled slightly, and a hidden section of the wall slowly began to move.
Ridhima stepped back in shock.
Dust fell from the ancient stones as the wall slid aside, revealing a hidden passage leading underground.
Cold air rushed out from the darkness inside.
Her eyes widened.
āThis⦠this wasnāt here before.ā
She pointed her flashlight toward the entrance, but the passage was too deep to see the end.
For a moment she hesitated.
Then curiosity won again.
Taking a deep breath, Ridhima stepped toward the hidden passage⦠unaware that this discovery was about to change her life forever.
Ridhima slowly took a step forward into the dark passage.
The underground tunnel was cold and silent. The air felt heavy, and the walls were covered with ancient stones that looked older than anything she had ever seen before.
As she walked deeper inside, a strange sound echoed through the tunnel.
Tap⦠tap⦠tapā¦
It sounded like someoneās footsteps.
Ridhima immediately stopped walking. Her heart started beating faster.
She held her breath and listened carefully.
At first, she thought it might just be the sound of her own footsteps echoing in the empty tunnel. But after a few seconds, the sound came again.
Tap⦠tap⦠tapā¦
This time, she was sure.
Someone else was there.
A shiver ran down her spine.
Fear slowly crept into her heart.
Without wasting another second, Ridhima quickly turned around and started running back toward the entrance of the passage.
Her footsteps echoed loudly in the narrow tunnel as she ran as fast as she could.
Finally, she reached the underground room where she had first entered the tunnel. She stopped there, breathing heavily, trying to calm herself.
But something felt wrong.
The place was too quiet.
Ridhima looked around nervously.
āI swear I heard someone behind me,ā she whispered to herself.
She pointed her flashlight back toward the tunnel, but there was no one there. The darkness remained still and silent.
Just when she thought she was imagining thingsā
A sudden sound came from behind her.
CRACKā¦
Ridhima froze.
Slowly⦠very slowly⦠she turned around.
Her eyes widened in shock.
Someone was standing there in the shadows.
